The Discussion Board in Blackboard, WebCT or another course management system offers a place for students and instructor to post class related dialogues.
Requirements for Discussion
This discussion posts student suggestions about how to best understand a topic such as opportunity costs. It also allows students to engage in a a course wide dialog regarding what is being learned and how it is being taught. Anyone is welcome to submit professional suggestions and offer well constructed opinions. A high degree of professionalism is expected and students are encouraged to post only academic issues.
Knowledge Base
This discussion page records common questions and answers of class wide interest. Topics include defining economic reasoning, identifying the ten key elements of economics, getting information about tests, and retrieving answers to difficult questions.
Students with individual questions and seeking one-on-one answers from the instructor should send questions in a private email to the instructor. Students may submit questions any time. They may expect responses during the instructor's contact hours, M-W between 1-3 pm (EST).
